On Christmas Eve, 1968, William Anders took this iconic photograph called “Earthrise at Christmas” while aboard the Apollo 8 mission to the moon.  It was the first time we humans got to see our fragile home floating alone in the vastness of space.  This is the only true home we will ever have.  Whatever we do to it or to each other, we ultimately do to ourselves.
